Photo Exhibit Poster

Today is the opening of the first photo exhibit I joined here in the Philippines.

The exhibit consists of 40 participants who are members of the Philippines group in Flickr. Our exhibit was even mentioned in the Flickr blog and Inquirer.net (Inquirer is a Philippine newspaper)

The Greenhills Shopping Center ushers in the new year with some of the best photos you’ll see in 2007. “Ikalawang Banat: Flickristas@The Jewellery” Photo Exhibit runs January 1-31 at The Jewellery Gallery, located at the 2nd floor of Greenhills Shopping Center.

The exhibit features more than 60 captivating images on nature, people, scenes of life in the metropolis, objects, and abstracts. The featured photographers are young, dynamic enthusiasts that met online in flickr.com, a popular international photo-sharing website, under the Philippines group. They are non-professional photographers with pro-level skill and talent. They decided to get together as a sub-group primarily to mount exhibits to showcase of some of their best works to an audience outside the web.

“Ikalawang Banat: Flickristas@The Jewellery” is the group’s second photo exhibit. It will be divided into two shows, each lasting two weeks and featuring a different set of photos. The first show will run on January 1-15 and the second on January 16-31. The photos on show will also be available for purchase to viewers.
